The
resources provided by the GCRC are available to all faculty at BUMC. They
provide a controlled and optional setting for clinical investigators. Also,
the Center provides a portfolio of programs for career development and training
of health professionals in clinical research and related methodologies.
Our GCRC is part of a national network of over 80 centers and satellites that provide the infrastructure and resources needed for clinical investigation. In particular, our resources include highly trained research personnel, a core laboratory, a bioinformatics support center, metabolic kitchen, and a safety advocate. The staff help by facilitating the day-to-day research process for physicians, trainees, and subjects. For detailed information on the services, please review the material
in the sidebox. This will assist you in accessing the appropriate staff
and equipment for your research.
