MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

The  General Clinical Research Center allows physician scientists at Boston Medical Center to study health issues affecting an urban and underserved population.  Originating at Boston City Hospital in the late 1960's, the Center continues to serve as the location for our physicians to look at important issues in the delivery of care to all who come to us.  Studies are being conducted in ways to deliver primary health care, child development, the urban environment, and asthma.

As Chief Medical Officer, I see the research done in the GCRC as an important part of our mission to provide exceptional care without exception.
